Back to Basics
It’s hard to imagine there was ever a time where people were reluctant or had to be persuaded to indulge in the online universe we call, the internet.
I was reminded that starting there was a veil of anonymity when using the internet and engaging in online communities, and because of that people were very much themselves. The internet was this nuanced place where you could be yourself and in doing so, you’d find your people.
While in some ways with social media we have strayed from that initial action, I find many constantly declare and share pieces of who they really are every day. Whether that be with a screenshot of a song one loves or a meme that really spoke to them.
That's one of the best things about the internet and music for that fact, no matter what you like or what piques your interest your sure to find others who enjoy its beauty. The internet connects you with people all over the globe, which enhances the opportunity for you to find someone that shares your interests. In that respect, the best thing about the internet becomes that it's really a tool for connection and countless opportunities + knowledge.
