Something that stood out

The beauty of genuine people and why they will always prevail is that honesty strikes chords that connect with the human spirit. We’re all searching, even scrolling for that feeling, those words that make us feel seen. Today, this did that for me, and I pass it on in hopes someone will also feel seen.

Much of the steps instrumental to our healing cycle are often easier said than done, but saying you will is the first step. Each time we decide to choose the better path we get closer, and that’s the whole point.

Don’t hold it in, let it out.

“50. note to younger broken self. it gets better. by a lot. get out of ur own way. think when it’s useful otherwise be present.. if ur afraid, lean into it. if u resent, let it go.. believe in something greater than yourself and be in awe of it.. slow the f*ck down.. see the grey in the black and white.. don’t repress ur emotions and cook on the inside.. surround urself with people who have qualities u admire and sponge off of them.. ask questions and for f*cks sake, just listen. dont wait so long to see the world outside your bubble. get over urself and ur opinions but defend ur ability to change them. be vulnerable and confident simultaneously… put the f*cking phone down.. meditate. trust intuition more.. use gratitude to rewire ur brain.. be a better friend, son, husband and father.. and be aware when u are falling short.. be comfortable with being uncomfortable.. know the bad shit most times is necessary and the catalyst for the good shit.. smell the roses… actually smell the whole damn garden as much as humanly possible..
one day ull wake up and be 50 w/grey hair and back pain and feeling introspective enuf to write some some wordy bullshit life post ull regret in 3 hours.”
